When Roger hits a cat on his way to his weekly poker game, it brings out some long-simmering resentments between old friends.

Jay Reiss is a graduate of the The Juilliard School's playwriting program. He is one of the creators of The Twenty Fifth Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and made his Broadway acting debut as the  Bee's word pronouncer, V.P. Douglas Panch. He has written screenplays for Warner Bros, Paramount and Universal Pictures. His first produced script, The Oranges, is currently in post-production. It stars Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener, Oliver Platt, and Allison Janney. Dead Cat is his first film as director.
